For example, this feature is primarily used to:

  • Define working hours: Ensure calls are routed to live agents only during your open business hours.
  • Manage outside hours: Automatically direct calls to voicemail, an alternative office, or a third-party answering service when your business is closed.

Within the Incloudvoice self-serve portal, you have the flexibility to set up one or multiple Time Conditions for each of your virtual phone numbers, giving you granular control over every aspect of your inbound communications.

How Does it Work?

The functionality of Time Conditions is designed to be seamless. The routing decisions are made automatically the moment a call is received, depending on the current time and date.

Once enabled in your Incloudvoice account:

  1. Incoming Call Received: The system checks the time and date of the call against your active Time Conditions.
  2. Rule Match: The feature allows you to define exactly how your incoming calls should be routed by asking a simple question: “Is the current time within my defined rules?”
  3. Automatic Routing: The call is then routed to the correct destination based on the outcome of that question.

You can set distinct routing destinations depending on whether the call comes in during:

  • Business Hours
  • Holidays
  • Outside of Business Hours

This ensures that no customer call goes unanswered, and your team is only tasked with calls when they are available.
